Handing in clinical samples to the practice

There are times when the GP or Practice Nursing Teams will ask you to hand in a sample for testing.  This is standard procedure for many symptoms.

When handing in a sample this must be in the correct sterile sample pot and must have your details on the sample pot, at least your name and date of birth.

The Practice will not accept samples that are being handed in without the patient being asked to submit one.   If a sample is handed in without being requested this sample will be disposed of and not tested.
